The answer to ‘Do we have real quality management in our lab’ or ‘What is the degree of accomplishment of system’ is diffcult in academic research. For this reason, the RIQ (Réseau Inserm Qualité), and the Director General of Inserm, asked a group of 28 experts to elaborate a questionnaire for self evaluation. The questionnaire is composed of groups of questions and an· evaluation code which makes it easy for any researcher to evaluate quality management from informal ‘good practice’ to a well performing ISO 9001 system.
