Quality Objectives, Requirement of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems-Requirements Standard

The purpose of this paper is to present a solution to respond to ISO 9001:2008 standard requirement, the one related to establishing the quality objectives, 5.4.1. The method consist in presenting an original derivation flowchart for the organizational objectives even up to the relevant functions level, and then to materialize the quality objectives and in the same time, to identify the necessary strategies in order to achieve them. This method can be applied to any type of organization from any industry, production, goods manufacturers or service providers. This process can be combined with two matrices, and as a result it was obtained a rigorous tool for establishing quality objectives and also a tool to assess their achievement.
